Whether you’re running the distance, walking with a group, or cheering at the finish line, come together with your community to get active and give back.
The 4K4Community Fun Run is a 4 km (2.49 mi) running and walking event that raises funds for local nonprofits with programs that advance diversity, equity, and inclusion within their areas of expertise. 100% of your registration fee is tax-deductible and is donated directly to this year’s nonprofit beneficiaries: [POIC](/nonprofits/POIC_RAHS), [Birch Community Services](/nonprofits/birch-community-services), [Forest Park Conservancy](/nonprofits/ForestParkConservancy), and [Path Home](/nonprofits/path-home-formerly-phfs). The run starts and ends at World Trade Center Portland, and includes a nonprofit fair! ### Location The 4K4Community takes place at World Trade Center Portland (121 SW Salmon St). The running/walking course will take participants down Waterfront Park, over the Steel Bridge, along the East Bank Esplanade, and finally over the Hawthorne Bridge to return to WTC. ### Beneficiaries Education: **POIC** provides the highest quality services in alternative education, mentoring, family outreach, employment training, and placement. Hunger: **Birch Community Services** addresses the roots of hunger and economic hardship by providing education, food, and nurturing accountability. Environment: **Forest Park Conservancy** maintains trails, restores native habitat, and inspires community appreciation and future stewardship for generations to come.
