Help us host Sole Support Portland 2023!
Volunteers will assist with the following: - Greeter and Line Monitor: Welcome walkers as they approach. Direct folks to the appropriate areas and keep the lines moving. Be able to answer basic questions about the event. - Fun Zone: Work on various crafts and games with our youngest walkers and families. Must be comfortable working with children and crafters of all ages. - Team Photos: Greet, gather and organize teams at the photo station. Take their photos and record team names to help us acknowledge them on our social media! - Snack Station: Set up and distribute snacks and water to all participants. - Hope Table: Help us get our walkers to sign the Hope Banner where they can sign their name or share some words of encouragement and inspiration. - PRO Table: Be the face of PRO for the day! Pass out literature and talk with our participants about all things PRO! - Water Station: Hand out water at our turn around point and collect cups for recycling. Sole Support for Parkinson's is a series of ~1k and ~5k walks suitable for participants of all ages and abilities. At each walk individuals, families and teams gather to create a powerful opportunity to raise awareness and funds to support those living with Parkinson's and PD+ in Oregon and SW Washinton - ensuring no one has to face this disease alone. The success of these walks wouldn't be possible without the support of volunteers like YOU and we appreciate you donating your time and talents to help these events succeed. Thank you!
