Monthly Care Card PartyCome hang out at our office & craft Care Cards that will be included in our food bagsActivity detailsWhat volunteers doSpend your time crafting the Care Cards that go into each of our food sacks and hanging out with other volunteers & our Portland Backpack staff. Come for whatever portion of the event that you can attend - no need to commit to the full 2 hours if you're not available the entire time. Food will be served! What volunteers should knowRegistration is required for all volunteers, including children. If you do not have the ability to create an account for a child, please email the Point of Contact for the event to notify them that you intend to bring children with you to volunteer, & let them know how many children you intend to bring with you. About nonprofit: Portland BackpackMission1 in 5 kids experiences food insecurity in Oregon. Portland Backpack makes sure the kids we see everyday eat everyday. We provide weekend food sacks to 1200 kids at 15 Portland public schools.
