Pride Northwest, Inc’s mission is to encourage and celebrate the positive diversity of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and trans communities, and to assist in the education of all people through the development of activities that showcase the history, accomplishments, and talents of these communities.
The Portland Pride Waterfront Festival and Parade wouldn’t be possible without help from our volunteers. Volunteers staff the information/volunteer booth, take donations at the gate entrances, check in parade contingents and manage crowd control, and more! In addition to the Festival and Parade, Pride Northwest is empowering our LGBTQIA2S+ community to get involved and to take action all year round, through PRIDE DAYS OF SERVICE! Pride Northwest is building a model of Pride that honors Pride’s origins while also looking forward: acting and taking action in ways that build community and strengthen bonds, and empowering action for change. We are organizing ongoing opportunities for our volunteers and community members to volunteer throughout the year, helping local organizations and community groups dedicated to making our home a place where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. Most recently, our Pride Day of Service volunteers have organized supplies for the Fall/Winter Community Impact Drive that benefits p:ear, Janus Youth Programs, and The People's Pantry.
