Craft the Care Cards that we include in each of our food sacks
The host team purchases all of the supplies (ie: notecards & stickers) & provides the space for crafting the Care Cards that go into all of our food sacks. Portland Backpack provides a staff person to present about our program & all of the markers & colored pencils to make the cards beautiful!
1 in 5 kids experiences food insecurity in Oregon. Portland Backpack makes sure the kids we see everyday eat everyday. We provide weekend food sacks to 1200 kids at 15 Portland public schools. Kids who rely on free school meals during the week can rely on us on weekends.
