Outside In needs support from a group of 4-6 people to help clean and spruce up our Day Program & Café space for young adults experiencing homelessness. Our Day Program offers meals, basic needs support, and social services referrals to youth ages 16-24. Your help to clean up this space will have a huge positive impact for the people we serve! This opportunity is only available on a Saturday or Sunday.
In preparation for some larger design projects, we need a group of volunteers to help us thoroughly clean windows, walls, and surfaces in our Day Program space and kitchen. Outside In will provide cleaning supplies, water, and snacks for volunteers. Volunteers are required to complete a brief onboarding process before arriving.
Volunteers should wear comfortable, casual clothing and close-toed shoes suitable for cleaning. Outside In staff will meet you when you arrive and provide everything else that you need, but please feel free to bring water or food if you'd like.
- Mask-wearing is recommended in communal spaces - Social distancing is recommended as much as possible - Volunteers will receive a brief safety orientation upon arrival - Volunteers are required to complete a waiver upon arrival - First-aid kits are available in all spaces - Please let us know if you have any allergies or sensitivities to scents, latex, or specific cleaning products
Since 1968, Outside In has supported youth experiencing homelessness and other marginalized people as they move toward improved health and self-sufficiency. Driven to meet the changing needs of those we support, Outside In has created an all-inclusive and integrated system of wraparound services that includes health care, transitional housing, substance use support, behavioral health, education and employment, and more.
Volunteers are an integral part of our team! While many of our volunteer positions support our work with ongoing weekly shifts, we offer some opportunities for groups to help out with fun, impactful projects like gardening in our courtyard, sprucing up our Café space, or sorting donations for our clients.
