Shadow’s Goal Setting Workbooks and “Shadow Bucks” are a fun and important way to engage and support students’ goal-setting skills. These materials provide a flexible curriculum for teachers to integrate into their classroom.
Volunteers will assemble Shadow Bucks, Goal Setting Workbooks, and bundle incentives like stickers and stamps. All of these items will go directly towards teachers to implement the Goal Setting program for student success. This volunteer event will occur on Wednesday, September 11th from 1 - 3pm.

The mission of The Shadow Project is to make school more accessible and engaging for K-8 students with learning challenges like dyslexia, ADHD, autism and trauma. We envision an education system that normalizes and celebrates learning differences, and supports every student to thrive in school.
The Shadow Project offers group and individual volunteer opportunities to support our students, teachers, families, and staff. Volunteers support our mission through various activities such as: - Warehouse activities: packing "shadow store" orders for teachers with student incentives through our Goal Setting program; Family Reading Kit assembling, to distribute to students at school events for free - Reading Mentoring: volunteer in schools and work one-on-one with students with learning challenges, motivating them to set and achieve weekly reading goals using assistive reading technology and an extensive audiobook library. We partner with schools in the Centennial School District and Portland Public Schools. - Translation: translating family and student documents into the following languages - Somali, Vietnamese, Chinese, Spanish, Ukrainian, Russian
