Now, in November, our young children are coming to the classroom in shorts and sandals due to a lack of warm clothing. Can your organization help? This activity supports Family Relief Nursery, an intervention and prevention program for families with children six weeks to five years old. We work to strengthen fragile families at serious risk of abusing or neglecting their children or of permanently losing custody. The Nursery offers a holistic, positive intervention with both children and parents. All services are provided at no charge to families.
Hold a clothing drive at your organization. On event day, sort and label clothing for families. See a presentation on our work including a short video of the children. We need warm washable clothing such as sweatshirts and sweatpants, long sleeve tops/sweaters and pants, size 4-5T and kids shoes sizes 7-9. We do not need coats at this time.
See above for items to bring.
